Make it 2nd, 3rd, and 15th and tell her to bring a dental dam.

Is this a joke? Lebowski is an all time favorite and cult movie delight. You either get the humor or you don't. It's too bad you don't get it.

    Btw, happy birthday jeff bridges!

If you forget, just write it on the back of your hand in Hindi.

Mark me as one of the fans of the movie. I think I only started appreciating it the 2nd time I watched it. The humor is not your "normal" type of humor found in Hangover movies. The humor isn't explicit, like some kind of a joke. For example, if you watched in isolation most of the clips posted in this thread, and you didn't really have a context for the characters, you probably wouldn't laugh. The beauty is that the characters are so exaggerated, yet totally believable and their mannerisms are what give most of the scenes their lift.

Exactly it's not your typical belly laugh out loud run of the mill comedies you see in theaters. It's ordinary, unique, unlike anything you're going to see anytime soon. It's more than just a comedy to me, it's a ******* masterpiece.

I'm not gonna say that you have to be high while watching it...

But I suspect it's only funny to people who are, or have been pot-smokers.

To me TBL is not funny
Characters are not believable at all
    Plot is not impressive.
Story development seems eventless - I finf myself waiting for something to happen
    Dialogue sounds fake.
    Acting is poor.
Movie is scattered with garbage time while the dude hallucinates
Throw in a bunch of nensensical elements, and you've got TBL.

...but then, I never smoked pot.
