Although that is technically true, what it's saying is that, in the worst case scenario where he is cut, they wasted $75k of Les Alexander's money for 9 days of possible moves that never materialized (which is not that bad).

I would say it's a big deal because it likely means Morey missed out on a deal he thought he could have done by today. I don't think anybody really cares about Kelly or his contract one way or the other.
