"Prefer professionals that have a bad game to just dust themselves off and go get them next time." You mean like how he played tonight after getting benched against the Magic?
He had a great game. He keep playing good and we can maybe actually trade him for more than a bag of chips.
I meant his last 3 games prior to the Mavs game not his 3pt shot. Outside of those games, Lin was playing very, very well.Even those games he was obviously playing with an ankle injury.
8 million is his trade value, atleast that's the hit on the cap. That 3rd year though is gonna be something. Someone has to pay Jeremy Lin 15 miillion.
i guess we will just have to see if he is worth that 15mill. i mean, who knows. But we should remain optimistic after summer practice time with the team comfortable with each other.
For the benefit of developing Lin, probably any place is better than HOU now. Harden is a pass-first PG's nightmare. Trade Lin with Nelson. I think that'll be a win-win situation.
Also the a top 3 perimeter defender in the league...regularly holds superstars under their season averages....please do some research.
We all know Lin doesn't get a rip because he's getting his $15 mill from somewhere...... And after that a team will probably give him $8+ mill per year for a few more years.
Agreed. Those teams would not be intereted either. I do feel that Orlando will be more than happy to get Lin. Nelson is in his prime and is a decent 3-point shooter. He is not much of a distributor but that's what HOU has Harden for. ORL is in rebuild mode and would welcome a new talented PG to lead the team.
Relacing Lin with Nelson would be really foolish. Rockets are building for the future. Nelson is already 31, just got hurt, will get hurt even more as he gets older. Lin will continue to improve and has a ton of potential. Switching him and Nelson would not make any sense for Houston.
If I was Lin I would demand a trade. He's not that good, but damn, this fan base is hating on him big time.
How do supposed fans of Jeremy Lin's not even know that he is taking an 8.3 million dollar salary from the team for 3 years, not a 5/5/15 structure? That would have been the structure that New York would've had to pay if they re-signed him. His last year, even if traded, he will get 8.3 million dollars. God, some of you people make fans of Sesame Street seem educated. At least The Count gets them to work with numbers.
It don't know which is more foolish, trading for a more useful/compatible piece or wasting talent on the bench. Heck! Lin will not have any potential if you use him as a catch and shoot guard. He will never shoot like Curry. That's just not what he is.
Not really. Seeing Brooks got a team option for next season, I'm sure Morey will explore any trade option to see if he can free up more cap space by trading Lin away. He should be aware of the incompatibility between Harden's and Lin's skill set. Lin will not realize his potential nor will he be consistent on this team.
