http://www.portionpac.com/products_moreinfo.aspx?productid=291 Product Description: A tangy, sweet and spicy ketchup with a rich tomato flavor and a note of onion and garlic. Use on hot dogs, hamburgers and french fries. ... It could be the onion and garlic?
The ketchup at whataburger is fancy ketchup and that's the company that packages it. It's just the product description but I think it's the same product.
At Chick-Fil-A you gotta mix the ketchup with mayo. It makes for a perfect waffle fry dipping experience...
Funny thing, I got married a week ago Satuday and we have been together for almost 6 years. We were talking about small things we didn't know about each other and one of the things I said was when I eat fries, I don't use the squeeze packets of ketchup, the only one I use is Whataburger. There is somethng about that stuff.
Whataburger actually had the knowledge that it takes more than 1 freaking dinky little ketchup packet to dip your fries in. Thats my biggest pet peave of fast-food restaurants..... Why the small-ass packets?? If you want to rule the fast-food kingdom, step up to the plate and get on board with what Whataburger is doing. Not only that you can dip your fries while you drive.... sweet.
I think fancy ketchup is just a generic term. Many of those small packets from other fast food joints say "fancy ketchup" on them, but they taste nothing like Whataburger's ketchup.
I use ketchup from time to time, but most of the time I like my fries without ketchup. And yes, as far as fast food chains are concerned, the waffle fries at Chick-Fil-A kick arse
I think most fast food places use heinz, its just different brand. I believe its the garlic that makes it stand out. ever notice its darker than other brands. its almost like bbq sauce.
