You should have used the multiple checkboxes. If we've got several weeks, I'm sure we can loot more than once. Anyway, I imagine I'd just hole up in my house, so the only thing I'd really need to loot would be food, water, and perhaps gasoline.
Social unrest with looting going on? I think I'd leave town. If I had to, find a farm and beg for food/shelter. I wouldn't be looting around an environment of social unrest. but to play your game, food/water.
Page 43: After several days, you decide it's safe to go outside. You have to walk to your destination due to rubble and broken down cars filling the streets. You walk for several streets, seeing no one, gaining confidence at every empty intersection. Just as you start to get a spring in your step, you turn the corner to lock eyes with the leader of several armed, haggard looking men. What do you do? If you have GUNS, and decide to shoot it out, turn to page 68. If you don't have GUNS and want to negotiate, turn to page 152. If you decide to run, turn to page 12.
Im not black so I wouldnt be looting. I would be acquiring goods for my family. Cleverly disguised "who is black on CF.Net" thread.
Page 225: Happily walking arm in arm with your family down the middle of the cluttered street, you happen across a group of scruffy men visibly tattooed with various white supremacist symbols and slogans on their bodies. You nod to them cordially as you walk by on the way to the park. One of them looks at your wife with a hungry look in his eye. "Goin' somewhere, boy?", he asks, stepping forward, followed by the rest of the group. "Why, yes, sir! 'Tis a splendid day and I felt like taking my lovely family to the park!" "You gotta pay the toll, boy", he says, grabbing your wife. The rest of your family is surrounded. Out of nowhere, a fist slams into your face. You fall to the ground, your body involuntarily rolling in on itself under remorseless beating. The last thing you hear over the screaming of your family is one of the men laughing and saying "What a dummy! Don't he know it ain't safe out here?" "...but...I'm not black..." you think to yourself as the world fades... ... THE END
Page 72: Several days after THE EVENT, you stagger out of your dark home with a dirty pair of purple women's underwear on your head. You aren't sure why they're there, but you aren't really thinking about it since you're close to dying of dehydration after the toilet ran out of water a few days ago. You come across a strange procession of oddly decorated people walking down the street. One of them stops and eyes you up and down. "What's yer name, son?" The man says, taking his tophat off with a flourish. "er.....shady...I can't really remember. Water?" "Sure, come on, join the procession. I think you'll fit right in, Mr. Lady's Underwear! I'm putting together a circus, and you can be one of the attractions! You don't mind wearing lady's clothing! I can tell! " "anything...just....water", you say in a rasp. As the weeks and months turn into years, you find that you warm to your position as the circus crossdresser. You even take a husband, a former NBA star named Dennis Rodman. He's a big man in every way, but you do what you have to do to survive in the world. It may have been different had you looted something besides an old lady's underwear, but you can't live in the past! THE END
I'd loot myself an SUV with several samurai swords mounted on the hood, and multiple subscriptions to Vogue magazine. I figure that's pretty much all I'd need.
I would not loot... but hypothetically speaking.... I have plenty of equipment to survive without basic services for a few weeks. ... so I'd loot the items that have the most long-term monetary value (jewelry).
