i shoulda bought hookahs from saudi, these college kids clearly overpay for them soo much, i could start my own business and pay for tuition.
India is not a place to just spend a week. You could easily spend a month there and not see half of what there is too see. That is sort of like saying you can see all of America in one week. Not possible. Goa is one of the nicest parts of india, imo. I was there a few months back, and it is really scenic. A beach town, I would say. The only problem with India this time of the year, is that it is monsoon season. What this means is it rains basically everyday. South India is good for cultural stuff, and the North is good for the partying scene and also a little cultural stuff. Supposedly the people from the South are a more educated bunch. Goa is also good for the partying scene. You get to see a bunch of German, and Portugese tourists there. If you want to see hot chicks, head to the North, and avoid the south like a plauge. I've traveled throughout India for extended amounts of time, and have found the North to be much more congested, and dirty. If you look "western" expect and full well prepare to be ripped off everywhere you go. Its a simple fact of life, whenever traveling to any third world country, unfortunately. Anyways, however long you are there, you will enjoy your visit, and you will have a new appreciation of wherever you currently live.
Thanks for the suggestions, guys... synergy: I have no disillusions about seeing everything there is to see...so we'll probably just earmark a few specific places on a tight schedule...I'm also thinking about trips to Singapore, Dubai and/or Mauritius during the course of next year, so there's not a whole lot of leave days to go around. Like I said, for India I'm more looking at the cultural stuff...don't necessarily need to see the beaches, and not really after the chicks/club scene, either...I live in a place with what's gotta be the highest natural hottie ratio per capita in the world.
Dude, I bought 20 of them for friends and when I went through customs back in the U.S., well let's just say I got some damn funny looks and interesting questions about my personal life!
