Possibility he is extended just like McFail was after the Portland humiliation. Another possibility is Dwight opts in. Mauri keeps the roster mostly intact because according to delusionals we have no chemistry issues, we just need to add talent. #pursuitcontinues
They don't have to, his contract has expired as HC. He will get an interview for the HC position. They know they cannot bring him back and most likely cannot bring any of this staff back. I'm sad we never got to see Finch and his slick-back at the helm, but such is life.
Howard opting in would doubly hurt, since the media reported talks of a deadline trade to Milwaukee fell through bc Howard wouldn't agree to opt in for the next season. In terms of Rockets luck this season, sounds about right. He'll probably opt in and right after reveal he needs another back surgery which will keep him out for the year.
If it's not announced before the weekend, I'll be stunned. They need to move quickly on the head coaching vacancy.
I am very much a Morey supporter, but this is his fault. People do not realize just how much talent he let walk out the door in the last few years. Shaun Livingston, the guy destroying us every time we play Golden State. Lin and Parsons. Parsons is hurt, but he really helped us against Golden State and so did Lin mainly because they can create shots for themselves and others. Golden State lost to and feared that team. The salary numbers were a factor in the decision making, but our decision to stay under the cap is showing its ugly head now.
We have already started looking at other coaches. The question isnt when he will get fired. But if they will even give him an interview for the job. Hopefully no.
oh please. so now there's an abundance of people that want to come out now and play the he should have done this role now. just stop
Isn't the understanding that as interim coach he was only going to be the coach for the rest of the season anyway? As such, there is no need to "announce" anything about him not being hired on full-time as head coach.
You're comparing how the Rockets did vs. the Mark Jackson-led Warriors to the Steve Kerr-led Warriors. Completely different systems. Apples and oranges.
A lot of teams waived Livington, the "awesome" Nets made him a real player, you know, like Whiteside, those situations happen. Parsons lol -> and watchout for his next contract. Lin was traded to sign Bosh, than Riley lost his mind after Lebron went to Cleveland and payed him the max for no reason.
