    The Rockets aren't putting even the slightest effort into this game! They are being blown out by one of the worst teams in league history!

    If they lose this game, I am done. That's it. Thanks for the memories. I am so sick of seeing this team lose to the trash of the league. If they aren't even going to TRY to win, then why should I support them?

    AMEN!

    The Bulls are one of the worst of all time. How can we get blown out by that bunch of scrubs? We're a one man team. We suck

    Ahh, the President of Fair Weather Fans of America makes his nightly in game post

    Don't worry, everybody, once the Rockets start to win a few games, ZRB will be a Rockets fan again, and will start posting here on a regular basis again...Now, whether that's good or bad has yet to be determined...

    Hmmm...a Rockets victory, or ZRB never posting here again?? Tough call...

    Word up ZRB. I thought I was the only person here that would cease being a Rockets fan if we lost this game. Let's find a new team. Those Lakers look pretty good.........

    I'm not switching teams just to cheer for a winner, I'm switching to a team that plays HARD and has PRIDE. The Sonics and Raptors play hard. The Sonics aren't winning, but they at least TRY. They could easily become my first team instead of second.

    don't mind A-train, ZRB. there are a lot of pissed off rockets fans right now, who have a great reason to be:mad: This is a pathetic effort, maybe I should not have said that the bulls might win today in my other post...

    Curry looked like EG usually does in the 2nd quarter...has he always been a shotblocker like this? Hassell is the man today. anthony is hitting. MERCER is hitting. Fizer is doing well...if we lose today I'm changing my name to something else...

    Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out, ZRB...This board is for REAL Rockets fans...You'd probably be better served as a Sonics troll anyways...

    What the hell is wrong with you? I am not going to the extreme like ZRB and claim that I am not going to be a Rocket fan anymore. But I am having my doubts. Hell yeah I love the Rockets, but for a couple of years now they are putting up pathetic "efforts". I dont even think this counts as a ****ing effort! I have claimed numerous times how I dont mind losing that much, BUT I DO MIND LOSING BECAUSE OF LACK OF EFFORT!

    ZRB,

    Almost every time your team loses a game you blame it on a lack of effort. (playoffs included) You tend to asscoiate effort way too much with winning and losing basketball games. I can't remember more than one or two times that you've actually said a losing team showed a lot of effort during the game. Unless you want to change that philosophy, you would probably he happiest cheering for the Lakers. Go have fun at lakersground.net. :rolleyes:

    Cat you will have to forgive some people for not having sunshine up their butt all the time. Losing to the Lakers, Spurs, etc is okay. Losing to the Grizzlies, blowing a 17 pt second half lead to the Knicks, and LOSING TO THE BULLS BY THIRTY IS not freakin okay! Those games our basically cause of lack of effort! I am watching the game rite now and the Rockets have no idea what the hell defense is! Hoiberg is freakin open on every single jumper! FACE IT----------WE SUCK!

    What a loser. You know, I was only teasing when I made my post, but the very idea that you weren't done with the clutchcity.net site but were done with the actual team it represents makes me sick.

    Why the hell else are you here? This is a forum for Houston Rockets fans. Clutch sweats blood to provide a site for Houston Rockets fans. If rooting for a team that isn't winning 72 games a year is a big strain, if your loyalties are negotiable...

    Dude, get lost.

    Don't tease me.

    Its not a lack of effort, but without Francis, and a hobbled Mobley, we just suck. I don't see the Rockets half-assing it out there, but with an indecisive point guard(just penetrate already!) and no real dangerous weapons(Mobley without his explosiveness is not dangerous) we just ain't a good team.

    The Rockets played hard against the Wolves, but lost.
    The Rockets played hard against the Spurs twice, but lost.
    The Rockets played hard against the Knicks, but also played stupidly, and lost.
    The Rockets played hard against the Sonics, but lost.
    The Rockets played hard against the home game with the Kings, but lost.
    The Rockets played incredibly hard against the Lakers, but fell short.

    Look up my posts concerning those losses and you will see that I never criticized their effort, only their basketball-smarts.

    Now, the Rockets lost the following games because of lack of effort:

    @Denver 108-101
    @Sacramento 113-77
    @LA Clippers 90-83
    @Memphis 102-85
    @Chicago 103-75

    5 games against one elite and four crappy teams. 5 games under .500. hmmmmmm

    Now knowing myself as I do, I probably will have difficulty giving up my Rockets addiction. I still like the franchise, the owner, and the broadcasters. I also still like Francis, and will probably enjoy watching him play when he comes back. To be honest with you, I forgot all about him. The rest of the Rockets are scum, and I will root for Hakeem to beat them when he comes into Houston.

    That's what it is, an addiction. I'll probably still watch all the games- there's nothing else on TV. Still, I don't like them as people anymore. They have no pride. I was thinking of buying courtside seats to see them play in Seattle in March, now I'll probably get nosebleed seats instead.

    Brian- assuming that I did switch teams, I wouldn't be the only fan of another team on this board. I appreciate what you, Clutch, and the other crew have done to make this site fantastic. I also admire you for being able to put up with this kind of basketball. I know how hard Clutch works on this site, and quite frankly, I am amazed that he keeps it going during times like these.

    I'm getting sick of some of the posters on here defending the Rockets half-assed efforts lately. Don't give that BS about the Rockets being short-handed. Calvin made a good point in th 4th Q pertaining to the Rocket 17-4 run before they fizzled out. If the Rockets would have started out the game in that manner, not when they were trailing by 30 or so points, then the Rockets would have won this game going away. Some of the better high school teams in the country could beat the Bulls. I'm sorry, but the Rockets have the look of a defeated team, no matter who the play right now, they are going to lose. They deserve every bit of the criticism they are getting right now.
