Not a "best group," or a "best CD" thread.

Just pick a song and name the group.

What one song gets you so fired up it makes you want to go out and kill someone?

    My choice:
    Pantera
    F*cking Hostile

Lets see how fast a thread started by me can get pushed way down into obscurity. :D

Without the equiptment, recording styles, record companies, or even drugs that today's bands get to build upon-- Black Sabbath's "Supernaut" is still the heaviest thing I've ever heard.

I didn't read the first post properly...

Songs that make me want to kill?

Anything by Creed. Any Matchbox 30 video that has that schmuck walking around town. "The Pina Colada Song." Just about anything that includes Don Henley and/or Glenn Frey.

Most of that stuff makes me want to initiate a three-state killing spree.

I've been listening to Garage Inc. a lot lately (awesome workout music), and there are a few songs off those 2 CDs that raise the adrenaline level for me:

    Die, die, die
    Loverman
    Stone Cold Crazy
    Breadfan
    I've got something to say

Okay, I'm not into Pantera or Slayer or anybody like that.

A lot of NIN's stuff I could classify as that, but I know, a lot of people don't think of Reznor as a heavy rock guitar guy..more techno/beat driven. The Broken EP really rocks but the one song that I would say that would fit this is "Stinkfist" by Tool.

What a great track. Adam Jones is an underrated guitar player, IMO. I love the licks around the "bridge" (I guess you would call it the bridge around the one part of the song that gets a little quiet). This song also has the most disturbing video that I have ever seen plus I have always wondered why MTV would refuse to air it as "Stinkfist"? (They always air it as "Track 1")

Of course, a classic, is "Iron Man" by Black Sabbath. I have one BS CD, but I made sure that "Iron Man" was on it.

I'd advise everyone reading this thread to keep a list of the people posting "the songs that make them want to kill someone".

"Exit", by the Black Crowes. Another great song they chose not to release. Assholes.

PS: This song doesn't make me want to kill anyone. Music doesn't do that to me, with the excepton of every song made by Puff Diddly or a boy band or one of the blonde crotches they've got singing nowadays.

    I love this thread!

Tough question....I will say a few.

    Pantera - Becoming
Metallica - Battery, Stone Cold Crazy (Queen wishes they could play like this)
Megadeth - Five Magics, Sweating Bullets
    Judas Priest - Painkiller

I am sure I have forgotten one or two....but I seriously can't listen to any of these songs in the car, or else I end up doing 40-50 mph over the limit. :D
