What makes Harden's penetration so different that's getting him the calls?

    It's rigged :)

No but seriously, when it's the other team's guy that's getting the close calls, we all say that it's rigged. But when a Rocket gets them, suddenly no one ever says it's rigged.

His explosiveness, willful initiation of contact, footwork, left-handedness, and reputation are all reasons why he leads the league in FT made. The initiation of contact is a gimmick imo, a cheap tactic (similar to flopping in weaseling the rules), and I'm not sure if it'll work against the Heat and Lakers of the world rather than the Bellinelli's and Allens, but it's working great so far.

So who would you rather have? A prime Manu or a prime Harden? Tough one, but who you rather choose to build your team around?

He controls his body and the ball well. Most players charge to the basket and do not slow down when they get near the rim making their pace easier to predict. Not only that, but defenders know they can force them into a contested layup that's hard to make because they are going so fast. By slowing down, Harden can gather himself and take a high percentage layup and the defender knows he will make it if they do not foul him. Plus he's quick, fast, athletic and has long arms.

sexual favors may also be a real possibility. Harden can get kinkiy as the strippers have shown.

Its really simple why Harden gets a lot of calls going to the basket. He has the ability to slice through the defense and the way that he maneuvers the ball around where opponents will wack his arms and sending him to the line.

An ordinary NBA player's penetrations consist of a simply straight thrust, at the end of which he releases the basketball. James Harden's penetration includes both forward motion and side-to-side wiggle with the "Euro Step." Both the sideways motion and the fact that he sticks his long arms out with the basketball and baits the opposition into reaching out for the ball and touching his body instead makes the penetration more effective. Moreover, James Harden is a very strong guy for a SG (listed as 6'5'' 220lbs, compared to 185lbs for Kevin Martin) so that he can finish the shot and doesn't go limp and cough up the payload at the slightest contact.

We have yet to see Harden in his prime. Like Manu, he's incredibly crafty and skillful, yet his potential lies in his youth and athletic ability. You combine the two aforementioned things plus some work ethic, and we have ourselves a franchise player.

Harden has the highest IQ, talent, and determination of any player to suit up in a Rockets uniform since Hakeem, and he is so cool and composed. This team has potential to be highly dominant down the road, as they are changing the way the game is played.

Harden's height, wingspan, vertical, speed and strength is surprisingly similar to Dwade. In a recent interview Lin said his euro step has very long second step, and part of the art is unlearnable.

He gets a few inches deeper in the hole than others.
