    A) Win a half dozen MVPS, have moderate playoff success, and a well respected Hall of Fame career (ie. Charles Barkley) or

    B) Score 2 meaningless points in game 7 of the NBA championship, win the title, and have a forgetful career (ie Earl Cureton Chris Jent type stuff)?????/

I'll take the Hall of Fame career over the career that only lasts a couple seasons.

Charles Barkley is known as a great basketball player that couldn't win it all.

Earl Cureton is only known by Rockets fans (and no one else) as a guy that lucked out and was carried to a championship by one of the greatest centers in NBA history.

Let's make this one a bit more difficult:

    Would you rather be:

    1. A fabulous player for 3 seasons who wins a championship, and looks like he might be "the greatest ever," but then has a career ending injury. Not drugs or anything... you just go out in a flash of glory in winning game 7 (like Ralph, only far better).

    or

    2. A good, but not great, player who has a long, successful career and even wins a championship (Otis Thorpe).

    I think I'd pick #1, but it's tougher.

Depends how bad the injury is.

I would still probably pick option 2, though. I would love to be someone like rick fox or robert horry or horace grant.

    I'd pick OT's way.

But, I'd rather be a shooting guard. Like a Maxwell or Elie. Of course, I wouldn't be a huge BONE HEAD like Vernon, but you know what I mean.

I would pick B... I think I would really like getting paid to play basketball for years and years...even if I was not one of the best at it, or even close.

    i'd choose A.

let me be the pulsar, not the long-lasting, dim, diffuse glow in the distance.

plus, with a big name, you can probably do more career wise off the court (broadcasting, endorsements, etc.)
