I got a broken nose because of these. My school (I.S.P.) used to allow 5th graders and up to leave campus for lunch & we would go to the boulangerie down the street for sandwiches & candy. There was a French HS near by & their older kids would jump us for our candy (and stickers...back then it was cool to collect stickers ).

    These are a close second.

There's a couple of good ones. It's easier to name the one I hate.

They are from Bonn, my hometown. My grandfather taught the founder's (Hans Riegel Bonn) kids.

Is there anyway to get one flavor of gummi bear? I like the clearish ones.

Haven't seen the rainbow frogs at Spec's recently, but they are great. I found the Fizzy Cola not too long ago and like them even better than the regular cola ones.

I spent part of my childhood at an Air Force base in Germany, and every now and then we'd go to Kaiserslautern for the day. The owner of a furniture store there used to give mini-bags of the Goldbären away to all the kids who came in...so we *loved* visiting Kaiserslautern.

So, after we moved back to the states, it was many years until I saw any other Haribo products, but I remembered them well; needless to say, I still am prone to picking up several bags of them when I run across them now.

I was born there... cool to know it's also the birthplace of the world's most delicious candy as well.
