He did not mean average 12 or 13. He meant he'd like to see James get 12 or 13 in a game. There was some telling comments right before these however. "I don't know. Can he be a playmaker? How much does he need the ball in his hands versus the ball moving?..."

So he wants him to pass even more than Magic, Stockton and Nash, who averaged less than 20 ppg for their careers. Why? For Harden to get that many assists he'll probably only averaged 20 ppg.

Everybody should know that Harden is the primary ball handler on the team. Everybody should know that means that anyone who plays PG here has to be able to play off ball and hit 3's. Everybody should know that Rubio simply can't do that. Everybody should know that makes Rubio a terrible fit in Houston even if he is available. I guess at least we're not talking about Rondo anymore.

holic needs his own RR subforum where he can just repeatedly tell himself that 1) Rubio would be good here and 2) Rockets are pursuing Rubio. No one else needs to venture in this subforum.
