I see some comparisons to Mark Eaton with the Utah Jazz. Eaton was offensively limited, but a great defense presence and had a nice career with the Jazz...even made the All-Star team one year. In 875 games, he scored 5,216 points (6 ppg), grabbed 6,939 rebounds (8 rpg), and blocked 3,064 shots (3.5 bpg). I think Omer might do better on ppg and rpg.
Dude, you don't need to post an edited photo every single time you post -- it's annoying. Plus, you're not even posting anything amusing.
Asik has only been a starter in this league for 7 games... I think its too early to tell what his ceiling might be. I think he will get better at handling the ball and getting less turnovers, but that all comes with time. Im excited to see how good he can get!!!
asik is a good politician on the floor and this will improve as soons as he is accepted as a solid center and a pro which will be not far away from now on. maybe next year. or this year if rockets reach the 2nd round of playoffs.
agreed. I would assume his ceiling is at a minimum 10 feet, but he probably has a two-story ceiling, around 20 ft or so.
Defense for a center is not just blocked shots, which is about off-the-ball stuff. Omer's on-ball defense is better than Chandler's already and possibly similar to Howard's. He's much bigger than Chandler and doesn't give an inch on the post. He doesn't have the quickness of Howard or Chandler, but he's got more length, which makes up a little bit there. Plus, he's really good about helping out and recovering, which is one of the things that makes Chandler and Howard so good. He could become better than Chandler, easily.
