Seeing all these fire JVG threads - many saying there are no better coaches out there- Where is Jeff Bzdelik? He was Pat Riley's assistant in Miami from '95 to '01. He is a defensive specialist. Considered a very good to excellent talent evaluator. He was fired in Denver, but they had a mutiny if I remember right.

He would be a smooth transition from VG as far as his defensive approach to the game. He would be a fresh start-if JVG tenure has indeed soured and he resigns or is fired.

Just a thought- he is younger than Silas or Hubie Brown ( doubt Hubie's health can take it).

Hiring a defensive minded coach that got fired would be a fresh start from Van Gundy?

I know he's coaching at a university at one of the military schools. Air Force, i think? But I'm not real sure.

He's at Air Force, which is the perfect fit for him. Bzdelik is best on a team without "stars". He looked great coaching the Nugs 17-win team (which for all purposes should have been the worst team in NBA history), but was over his head with the team the next year and a half.

You guys are seriously wanting to fire JVG? Wow.
