By virtue of being (i) healthy and (ii) not causing issues chemistry wise with rumored AD trades. Lakers were in the playoffs when Lebron got hurt as well.

Apparently Dwightmare and the current Lakers drama wasn't bad enough for some people. They want to bring in a guy who will wreak even worse havoc on our team and organization despite having a losing record against the Warriors and playing the same type of style they claim to despise. Even if we do win a title it will all be about him.

Lebron for Harden? I'd do it. Lebron and CP3 would make TC a top tourist destination.

TC would be packed every night. That's better than losing to the Warriors and being hated by the media.

What’s really funny is the second Harden put on a Lakers uniform everyone here would be talking about how he is a flopper and over rated Westbrick type chucker whole doesn’t play defense and will never win a title.

LOL. Giving up a star in his prime for an old workhorse at the end of the trail?

Lol, this forum is still in full meltdown. Should just lock it down for users without some kind of credentials to prevent silly threads. Then again... Some are good joke threads

No, because Harden is a better defender than Lebron. They both miss plenty of rotations, but Harden is the league leader in deflections.

Also, Lebron is not locked in. Why would Lebron being locked in be more likely than Harden being locked in? If you're going to base it on what we wish would happen, just wish for Harden to be better. What will actually happen is Lebron will rest on the defensive end the whole regular season minus a few high exposure games. Harden will be better than that all season, and he will take it up a gear in the playoffs.

Harden was defensively excellent for most of the playoffs. I think this went largely unnoticed. He was terrorizing teams and teams tried to force him into a switch and they would regret it regularly.

The only thing Lebron has on Harden at this point in his career is that he is more likely to attempt to take over a game in high pressure situations. Harden is better at everything else. It's not close anymore. It's especially not close when you're comparing each of their next 4 years to each other.

And Harden was Harden in the playoffs. I suppose some people are just grateful to make the playoffs every year, if that’s the case then yeah Harden is your guy.
