Maybe people are just used to the latter.

I agree with you somewhat and I'm not trying to be overly harsh of him. I think he brings an awesome attitude so far. However, he chronically misses layups. LAYUPS! It's like Chuck... just a role player, not someone who needs to be out on court significant periods of time.

IMO I don't think he has a place on a championship spot unless it is warming the bench. Still, I like JJ as a player and a person, just him being used so much is concerning me because it is a tell tale sign like a lot of those things that we just aren't ready.

What hurts the most is the Rockets' complete loss of confidence and swagger. Where did it go? They were doing so well earlier in the season. They aren't playing loose anymore; it's like watching five Arizas out there at all times. Just revolting! One has to wonder if adding Yao is going to be enough to make this team above average.

THAT is a good point. It's disheartening... it's like none of them play free with that nothing to lose mentality.

The Rox started off SO well and looked to be poised for a nice run when the schedule got easier but honestly they wore down IMO physically and mentally. Still losing Yao hurt A LOT because it basically crippled the season before you have a chance. One can only wonder if Yao had stayed healthy if they would have resigned Artest how would this look now with Martin being added then again the development of Brooks, Bud and Lowry might not have been as strong...who knows but it hurts not to be a title contender because of Yao bing out.

you can only win so many games off "scrappyness " until teams start scouting you out and setting up defensive gameplans and zeroing in on your weaknesses to beat you.

Why is that an LOL? Landry is gone for good, and he was a fan favorite of almost all Rockets fans. Yao will be back. He's too hard of a worker to not come back.

If everything goes as planned, Yao will be back. Unfortunately, Carl will not.

I find it funny that the games Ariza hasnt shown up in we've been blown out the hardest.

Stop making polls that are one side.

What hurts the most is that OLAJUWON is no longer 27 years old.

The hate for Ariza has gone really overboard on clutchfans. Once we have all our pieces he will be a good role player.

That's as may be, but surely we have the talent to beat the Heat, Pacers, etc., right? The Rockets just look so ground down.

Also, seeing people post more in the T-mac thread than the Rockets thread when it's game night for both teams. Pitiful.
