What happened with Omer Asik?

Out of shape.

 

I see him get swatted going up for just about every dunk attempt, so he looks about the same to me.

 

He needs to get back into game shape. It will take him awhile being away from the game for 2 months. I hope he gets back into shape in time for the playoffs.

 

It's also harder to be consistent with fewer minutes. You'll see higher variances game to game.

 

He doesn't try as hard as he used to because he really wishes he was traded.

 

What happened to Howard is the question he's the guy we had the parade for this summer, & we're trying to figure out how to trade him

 

He is the same. What did you expect he would do?

 

Now asking Asik plays like last season is ridiculous.SMH

 

Started smelling himself and got a reality check.

 

when a player is all there, his game isn't going to be a ll there. they're not robots. I wish he'd give it his all since he is still getting paid.

2. doesn't really give a @#$%. Wants to play as a starter somewhere else, which is also part of the reason he is out of shape.

 

This. Thats why the Rox went out and got Howard. Asik main role is defense, rebounding and the occasional dunk. Howard and some of the other starters have been very disappointing the last couple of games and are the main reason for Rox recent struggles.

 

That one is on McHale. He should've been able to get Asik to buy into a role on this team. McHale's inability to get Asik motivated is probably going to cost them in the playoffs.

 

Big men have to find a rhythm. He has a few more weeks

 

He's fine. Backups get inconsistent minutes so they are more likely to play inconsistent from game to game.

 

I agree. He needs consistent minutes. We saw how effective he was last year for us. Last year with Asik, the Rockets swept the Bulls.... The Bulls never had a chance in any of those games.

 

He can't even make point blank dunk now.

That said, he's still very at defending and rebounding.

 

Give him some time, he'll be back.
