If you could just pull one guy from the past and put him on this year's team who would it be. It can't be an all star, so no Hakeem or Clyde.

Othella "The Fella" Harrington or Alton Ford would turn us into contenders.

Kenny Smith is without a doubt the best non all-star to play for the Rockets, but this team needs a center...so bring on Deke, Kevin Kunnert, or Kelvin Cato.

Prime-time Robert Reid. He could play 3 positions very well, was a career .458% shooter (shooting from Downtown wasn't his thing. he had one good season in '87-'88 w/3P% of .382), could rebound, was terrific on the break, was an excellent passer, with 3 seasons of over 4 APG. The cherry on top? An excellent defender. We could really use Bobby Joe Reid.

The last thing this team needs is more non-all stars.

I agree that we need a sharpshooting wing, but my memory don't go that far back so I nominate Eddie Johnson.

How about a non-cracked out/drugged up/unmotivated/p*rnography obsessed version of Eddie Griffin? He would definitely fit in with the youth/upside movement that Morey is installing. Plus, he was over 6'9" which is definitely a bonus.

this is a team of role players, why do they need more?

But, since we're playing, the answer is:

    The Wizard, Walt Williams

Remember when Rudy put him at PF for a few games? awesome.
