From ESPN... I know that Steve Nash has broken down the last few years & never quite made the impact that was expected in L.A., leading to Dwight leaving to come to the mighty Houston Rockets...but does he have anything else to offer a team? Would he be a decent 3rd string guard to help teach or mould a younger up & coming guard? Which teams out there would actually take a chance on him if (when) LA uses their stretch provision on him? I always liked Steve Nash, until he went to the Purple & Gold, and I wish him well. Would love to see him finish his career on a playoff team, (maybe Toronto?) and not finish his great career off as a member of the worst Lakers team in LA's history. Your thoughts...
He said before because of family he isn't leaving LA to play elsewhere. If LA cuts him he's going to the Clipps(doubt they want him) or retiring.
This Trade is Successful! Steve Nash $9,300,500 PG 2 Years Acquiring 1 Player $9,300,500 Hollinger's Analysis: -3 Wins Jeremy Lin$8,374,646 PG 2 Years Acquiring 1 Player $8,374,646 Hollinger's Analysis: +1 Wins
I can see this kind of trade happening if the Rockets need extra cash for a Melo type player. Trade happens, Rockets use stretch, Rockets have another 5-6 mill cap space opened up.
r****ded and pointless either way. In the short and long term Lin is a better player, if they wanted to use the stretch provision for cash they'd just use it on Lin since his cap hit is lower than Steve's anyway.
