PF 15/10 SF 15ppg 45% 3 pointer C 18/10 4 blocks SG 18ppg PG 28/10 bench: sg/sf 16ppg 50% FG pf/c 10/8 I would rather have a 20/10 center like Duncan or Webber, but I figured 120ppg was enough so I backed us down to a 18/10 guy, and I figured I should stop there. Let's not be unrealistic. Do you think 120ppg is enough to beat the Lakers? That's why I gave my center 4 blocks/game, because we probably need some defense to beat them. I do love the fact I have a 10/8 backup center coming of the bench, though. That might be enough. There are 336 players in the NBA besides who we have already. Who do you think can fill that requirements above? Then let's go after them. Whaddyathink.
Not very realistic, pardy... it should be SG: 18ppg, 5rpg, 4apg PG: 28ppg, 10apg, 5rpg bench: pg: 8ppg, 8apg, 3 rpg The rest can stay the same. ------------------ rimbaud post-a-thon 2000
I think its time to congratulate the Lakers for their back-to-back NBA championships. ------------------
rimbaud, the problem with your bench is that you have to buy the Dreamcast RAM upgrade kit if you plan to score more than 120ppg. There are out-of-the-box limits.
Michael Olowakandi. We've already got a guy making $15 million that CAN do that. Hakeem can if he comes back healthy and dedicates himself to one more year of COMPETITIVE basketball. Just curious...how much is Dikeme Mutombo making? ------------------ We're going to miss you Chuck! Thanks for all the memories! [This message has been edited by RocketsPimp (edited May 02, 2000).]
heypartner, I hear that the Playstation 2 will have greater memory and other things, making my lineup very feasable. We can even add: Jump shooting PF: 7ppg, 55% on 3's. ------------------ rimbaud post-a-thon 2000
What a ball hog team! If the Rocks can get Jason Kidd, I would be satisfied with no less than 10ppg/8rebpg/40asstpg/2bpg/3appleturnoverspg OH! But stats dont matter HeyPard. Stats dont get wins. Size does. The taller you are, the more you win. Havent you been paying attenion? Need a tall team. BTW, Cato is 7 feet tall. Ya' know? ------------------ Cato is 7 feet tall.
A team with 7 players in double figures will never happen, especially when one averages 28 and another averages 20. Also, Rudy gives more than 7 guys playing time. Other than that it is good, but here is something a little more realistic. PG: 25 pts, 12 assts, 5 reb, 2.5 stl SG: 20 pts, 4 assts, 3 reb, 3 stl SF: 12 pts, 5 assts, 4 reb, 2.5 stl PF: 20 pts, 3 assts, 12 reb, 1 blk C: 14 pts, 2 assts, 12 reb, 2.5 blk Bench: PG: 5 pts, 4 assts, 1 reb, .5 stl SM: 13 pts, 2 assts, 1 reb, .5 stl BM: 5 pts, 2 assts, 7 reb, 1 blk SM is swingman(2 or 3) and BM is big man(4,5) The point guard, shooting guard, and small forward are already here in Steve Francis, Cuttino Mobley, and Shandon Anderson. The power forward will come in the draft, probably Stromile Swift or Darius Miles. The center is one man, who has been said before, Theo Ratliff. How can we get him? If the 76ers want to get younger, then Cato/Thomas/Drew for Ratliff/Hill. The salaries will probably be more on the side coming to us, so you use the 4.5 Million exception. Hill will be kept around for next year if we draft Darius Miles because you don't want to throw a high schooler right into the starting lineup if Dream gets hurt. If the man is Swift, trade Hill to the Lakers for guys with one year left on their contract and first round picks. The Lakers need a bruiser inside badly. The backup point guard is Moochie Norris. The backup swingman is Walt Williams. He is a shooter(a characteristic of all championship teams) but can also create on his own. A lethal 6th man. The backup big man, maybe Carlos Rogers. If he continues to improve which he says he will, then he will definitely fill the void, and at 6-11, can play both the 4 and 5. To fill the rest of the bench, you have Pig Miller and the rest of those draft picks coming to us, as well as maybe bringing back Sam Mack with a middle-class exception. ------------------
Nobody on this board is ever facetious, dafranchise... don't ever make the mistake of thinking that HEYPARTNER made a mocking post dedicated to all the people on this board who expect "prototypical" production from every position. Treating this post as sarcasm would be a huge mistake. Congratulations on avoiding this pitfall. ------------------ [This message has been edited by haven (edited May 02, 2000).]
Well, who cares... since he said it was more realistic, DaFranchise, All the PF's that fit your criteria: Tim Duncan All the PG's that fit your critera: Nobody All the SG's that fit your critera: Nobody All the SF's that fit your criteria: Nobody All the C's that fit your criteria: Shaquille O'Neal It ain't easy bein' GM. ------------------ ?
It ain't easy being a GM The database of players and your SQL programming must make it easier, though.
God bless the "sequel". So easy now to compare players. Well, statistically, anyways. ------------------ ?
Good post partner...love it. ------------------ "Okay KG, next time down, you give Cousin Billy his turn, then he'll give Uncle Joe his turn, then we'll give Shaq a turn." -Rudy T, in the Dream Team 2000 huddle
