What do you think about us signing Gordon and Anderson to the team? I am hoping some of you guys can give me some positive input about these guys, and how you think they make us more competitive this year. I really want to believe we learned from last year.

I think they will help us make the playoffs for sure. If they stay healthy.

In fact, I think we are locked into the 5-8th seed for the next few years now.

Morey made the best out of a difficult situation. Rockets decided to go the D'Antoni way and both of them fit in there. Let's hope they stay healthy.

Health will determine their worth. Morey apparently didnt take that into consideration before handing out money

Offense better yes but protecting the paint and rebounding will be their downfall. Their record wont be that much better IMO

    Solid, injury prone players

Not worth their contract numbers but who is this summer?

I like Anderson, he's a good player but for many reason almost never had a starter role. Let see if he can be great or just good in Houston. I don't agree with the critics for his rebounding ability: he's a good rebounder but til now he just had the role to go and hit 3s in few minutes. I'm pretty confident.

Any time someone says about players "if they stay healthy" then you're in for a lot of trouble.

the average salary this summer is around 16M per year.

gordon is on a below average deal, while ryno is on a slightly higher than average deal.

both are above average players when healthy, so an average salary for an above average but injury prone player seems fair.

Of the free agents who moved teams, who did we realistically have a shot at getting that we didnt?

I'd like both signings a lot better if they were shorter contracts. 4 years really ties our hands for the forseeable future.

On the court, both guys fit the system.

Not too long ago, Golden State fans were saying that about Steph Curry and his glass ankles.

I think it is a High Risk, High Reward move, very unlike Morey, TBH.

If they are healthy we just got a lot better, if they keep getting injured as they have for the last few years we are locked into big contracts for injured players.

Not a bad risk, and I think Morey's job is on the line, so he took risks that he normally would not take - got to put a stake in the ground and go all in at some point, this is it.
