Compared to certain other Max players? No Compared to certain other Max players? Yes Will he get the max and does he deserve it? Yes and yes. You can say he's one dimensional I don't think he is... But even if he was he's still a game changer.
Bingo. Their free agent moves were terrible and they just dont have a bench. That's all on Doc Rivers.
I hope DeAndre Jordan goes to the Knicks. He has the potential to be the best big man in the league and I don't want that in the west
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Rumor: DeAndre Jordan 'might leave' Clippers because of Chris Paul <a href="http://t.co/tbdHYjfJ0A">http://t.co/tbdHYjfJ0A</a> <a href="http://t.co/4YYiiiG4aZ">pic.twitter.com/4YYiiiG4aZ</a></p>— CBS Sports NBA (@CBSSportsNBA) <a href="https://twitter.com/CBSSportsNBA/status/600376590351085570">May 18, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
and so it begins... If Jordan had a brain he would consider staying because of Chris Paul not leaving. He can't find a better pg except of Wall that could make him look better and a max player.
interesting. im betting it crossed my paul's mind that maybe i should have went to the rockets this offseason. seriously he is running out of time. unless he pulls a gary payton and goes to a team and rides a couple of superstars to a ring. he is running out of time as far as leading a team himself. he has maybe 2 years left for that.
Serious question -- how can he be the best big man in the league, without any offensive game besides alleyoops?
Exactly. Lock him in a gym and tell him to score 20 points without dunking- will take him all day. But that's the price to pay for rim protectors these days. This is their market value. If he hadn't Paul he would still not be a max player though.
Man..it also seems like Rose and Buttler have serious issues. Maybe Buttler leaves too. It's hard to have two stars working together and not antagonising each other.
OMG. They.Have. A. GM. He. Answers.To. Doc. Also, Alvin Genry was already a Clippers coach, not sure he'd be an upgrade over Doc. Either way, Doc the coach and Doc the guy that makes player personnel decisions are both most likely to still hold their positions at this time next season.
DeAndre's a nice player and very good at what he does, but he is little more than a rich man's Tyson Chandler. The Clippers will probably have to (and should) pay him the max- if only because he's so critical to their team- but DeAndre would be breaking up a solid contender (where he can get the most money, I might add). CP3 makes everyone-- especially guys with Jordan's skillset-- a helluva lot better offensively. On a side note, if he does leave-- maybe the Clippers pick up Tyson Chandler?
Yeah. Butler and Rose need to smoke a peace pipe. The next coach has to fix this relationship. Those guys need to play off each other like Steph and Klay do.
Clippers have to keep DeAndre and add a definitive 3rd big that can defend both the rim, paint and contribute offensively. Glenn Davis had the worst +/- of all the Clip players at -59 during the Rox series and Doc just kept rolling that fat ball out there. Clips gotta find a legit 3rd big with their MLE. If they do that.....they've got a chance.
