I’m a December baby so my family is asking what I want for Birthday and Christmas. Honestly, there’s nothing I can think of. I’m an old now and have everything I want or just buy it when I need it. Browsed Amazon a bit today and it was depressing. I’m big on envy so I thought I’d ask what y’all are asking for and maybe piggyback on your ideas. So, what gifts do you want? Thanks.
I want/need/ask for nothing. Bought my brother a chainsaw and him and my friends a couple of Astros Championship hats. Bought my mom a cookbook (the new Texas Monthly "Big Cookbook of Texas" or somesuch) and a pair of leather work gloves and a week in Ruidoso Bought my ladyfriend a vacation, as soon as we can both get away for wherever...
I’m thinking about getting a Dobro. If you’re a drummer as your name suggest cymbals, drum bags or stands are always appreciate by the drummer in my band. My mom bought me a flight to Singapore but considering she used a joint account that I share with her for a business we’re in that I pay the expenses for not sure if that counts as a gift. It’s the thought that counts.
I shop for myself then give it to my wife to give it to me. On the rare occasion that there's something I want that I don't need right away, I tell my wife then hope she remembers. She usually doesn't.
I like to shop for myself , my wife is insistent on buying me clothes every year whether I want them or not lol..my kids always buy me gift cards
I want to do a major renovation to my house. Do a "bump out" to add office space off the master bedroom. Also want to massively expand the back porch and possibly get it screened in. But none of those things will be happening within the next 4 years or so. So.... other than that, I don't think there's anything else I want. Actually I want to hire someone to come add some built-in shelving and paint the interior of the house. But that, too, is a long ways off.
Have you seen this- The Texas Cowboy Cookbook: A History in Recipes and Photos It's really well done.
To not discuss politics at the dinner table this holiday season so I don't have to throw anyone's ass out my house like last year.
You may think you have everything you want or need,,,, until you try on one of these Pima pocket tee’s by Richer-Poorer https://richer-poorer.com/collections/mens/products/mens-pima-crew-pocket-tee?variant=39510549168224
I always tell people I hate gifts. I hate people buying stuff for me, so I tell them I'd be ticked if they get anything for me. But.... this is the time of year for me to buy myself stuff because lots of stuff being discounted, and I rarely buy much stuff earlier in the year unless it's necessary. So far I've crossed off Ninja air fryer and Conair steamer this month. I may cross off angle grinder here pretty soon. I'll probably be buying some games when the next Steam sale kicks in in a couple of days. I don't see anything else discounted enough on my list other than a possible robot vacuum purchase, but I'm trying to dissuade myself from that.
I've heard those are pretty good. I need to try one, but these places are pretty proud of their fruitcakes and other baked goods with the way they price them. I tried Collin Street Bakery's cherry fudge pecan cake and it was pretty good. I've asked people who've tried both places which is better and I get differing opinions. lol.
Im going retro again with ocean pacific, town& country.. possibly redline or hutch and a tony montana shirt
