Jay Williams, Milicic, Okafor, Marvin Williams, Bargnani, Oden, and Beasley. Do not believe the hype. Even your team has one of the top two picks, you have 50% chance to land an average player.

I don't know if Jordan Hill is better, but that's besides the point. Beasley is not a SF, so any dreams of playing him at the three should stop. He's only 21 and a huge offensive talent, but he's still got a long way to go. For what Miami would want (former #2 overall let's remember), it wouldn't be worth it for the Rockets imo.

I hope that his head doesn't strengthen out anymore but I don't like his character issues either, it totally undermines what this team is all about. If this was more of a veteran team I might agree, but we have a pretty young team that doesn't need what this guy brings right now.

Okafor is above average! He's has average defense but above average defensive.

I agree with your point. After 2-3 seasons, draft position is less important than game performance.

After 2 seasons, nobody cares that Beasley was picked 2nd, he is just average and hurts you defensively.

Yesterday is the first time I seen him play all season long. For this 1 game at least, he is hustling, working on defense, moving the ball and grabbing rebounds.

His explosiveness is just amazing. Shows shooting touch right up to the 3p line. But he did go missing during the middle of the game.

So looking at just this game, I doubt he is that much better than Hill. While Scola certainly is better than him.

He is what a money-ball player should not be.... overrated and will be overpaid.

I wonder if the Heat could land Bosh by trading Beasley and other players. I hope not.. :(

That's a shockingly horrible shooting percentage.

The bar for "great" seems awfully low if he qualifies.

He's nearly as likely to give you 6 as he is 20. Another Dwight Gooden - being an NBA professional gets in the way of his lifestyle. Heat want to trade him because he doesn't care enough to work or focus.

Scola most def. is better then him. But to say Hill is better then Beasley isn't fair.

Why not? From what I know of Beasley, he sounds like someone's who just happy to be in the big leagues and live off his rep as a #2. heck, Hill was also a lottery pick and has shown quite a bit in limited minutes. It's not impossible to think he could surpass an idiot like Beasley.

No player with questionable work ethic even with great potential is a good fit with this team. Exhibit A [IMG]

If this was true, Riley would shop Beasley hard to a team with cap space and a lottery pick i.e. Clippers/Kings on draft night.

I'd take Mandry over Beasley ever day of the week.

    J. williams, Okafor and Oden got hurt.....this limited what they were gonna be (in Williams case it landed him outside of the league.)

Marvin Williams is an average to slightly above average player.

    Don't really watch bargnani
