He is just one of those players that didn't pan out from the 2009 draft that Morey Collected.

Why are we collecting 09 busts again?

    ...in an unstructured environment.

Talented, but does he fit anywhere? Maybe KMc has the keys to the puzzle that is the enigma that is so puzzling about JoHi.

    I'm hoping for a Jermaine O'Neal type of break-out.

Jordan Hill has been staying busy the entire offseason. He is ready.

I've given up on Hill. He's not a good enough scorer, rebounder, or shot-blocker. Hill's not a starter in the league and he never will be. Time to trade him before other teams realize this (if they haven't already).

LOL - Thabeet speaks what like 6 languages? He is highly intelligent, he just lacks confidence.

How can you be down on him and high on Morris when you have not seen either of them play in the NBA?

Thabeet was pretty good when he got consistent minutes his rookie year - let's see how he does with a real big man coach in McHale.

Jordan "fouls to give" Hill. I expect him to play a similar role as Antoine Carr did back in the day.

Thank you DD. Some people are media driven. They don't watch actual games or game tape to form their own opinions.

i remember everyone was a fan of jordan hill when he first came to houston. i remember the couple of games he played as soon as he was traded to houston, and he showed flashes of scoring in the post. i think hill can get his old game back under mchale.

A lot of the haters don't know what they are talking about. They blow-up every mistake and ignore everything else.

I wanted to like Hill as much as the next guy. But nothing he's done has said starter material. He's definitely not a center and I have much more hope for Ppat than him. So please enlighten me on what Hill does well.

Because most if not all of them will break out this season.

Rockets with Hill on court: 107.3 points scored per 100 possession, 113.8 points against.

Rockets without Hill on court: 114.2 points scored, 108.5 scored against.

    Hill +/- per 100 possession: -12.2.

Rick Adelman is no longer the coach of the Rockets largely because he played Jordan Hill more than 1100 minutes.

Who was on the court with him? Who was on the court against him?

Was he playing the natural PF position, or as a center, because he is far too small to play that, at least Hayes has a squatty body and leverage, JHill is too skinny and lean to play center.

i guess that thread of Jordan Hill photoshopped in a Houston rockets draft hat and Jersey is nothing more than a distant forgotten memory now.:(

People give up on players far far far too early, especially young bigs, some of which take time to develop into NBA players.

I wonder if Dallas fans were ready to run a 19 year old Dirk out of town when he struggled his rookie year?

Excuses, he sucked with all lineups. The Rockets got better as soon as Patterson took all of Hill's minutes (and as Aaron Brooks got shipped).

Jordan Hill's raw +/- last season: negative 11.52.
Jordan Hill's adjusted +/- last season (adjusted for the identity of the 4 guys with him on the court): negative 11.48.
