I don't know how much people follow RGV... but it is supposed to be a training ground for future NBA coaches correct? The guy has done amazing things with a roster constantly in flex in RGV... what do you all think about bringing him up? He would be relatively cheap, he's used to dealing with young players and roster changes, and he's been successful. Thoughts?
Sure! Sounds good! I really don't know how to differentiate between these young guys with no NBA head coaching experience. I'm sure they're all bright, young, and probably won't rock the boat very much in terms of personnel decisions. May as well just roll the dice.
That's my line! LOL I'm serious, if they are going to do the development route and the "big names" are exhausted why not try Finch in the interim while they build their "Championship" roster? It's no worse than giving the team to Mike Brown (imho).
development oriented my butt. I saw the first playoff game and he was pulling his players in and out of the game like they were yo yos.
We can promote him as one of the assistants. He can run Adelman's offense. Another articulate RGV asst coach is Coach Steadman. He seems knowledgeable and personable from his post-game interviews.
D-League and NBA coaches have different prospectives to the game and players but the final decision is up to Daryl Morey.
