i think it will be hard to pull barbosa away from the suns, unless they bite on stromile, but then that wud leave us at a big hole at backup or shud i say perhaps starting? power foward, i wud not trade swift for barbosa, i wud however make a deal for diaw....buttttt im dreaming

As long as JVG being our headcoach, don't even bother to dream about those kind of things. Diaw,Bell,Barbosa.. anybody shining like a star will play dummie on our team. JVG sure knows about defense and maybe he can win a champinship for Rockets, but his game is UGLY!!!

    Not so fast there.

It is not as easy as you state it. First, this Saver guy has stressed that he will not or at least does not intend to go over the salary cap.

Barbosa and Diaw will be open to the market after next season and the Suns would hate to lose anyone of them. But if anyone of them get a fair market offer of around the full MLE (to be conservative), the Suns will be foreced not to match.

So do not be suprised if one of them is traded this off season for a draft pick or two (mostly Leandro). It also looks like they like Tim Thomas as well - so they would have to account for him as well.

So FWIW, I am betting that one of the two will be gone by this summer of by the summer of 2007 - so the Suns must choose now between Barbosa and Diaw.

even though he was voted MIP this season, i still think many ppl don't give enough credit to Diaw, especially his defensive effort.

with Amare out, and Kurt Thomas eventually going down also, i think Diaw is the main reason for Phoenix's success this season. guys capable of playing all 5 postions don't grow on tree's.

and even though he's not some scoring weapon, he's very rational with the shots he takes.
