I see dogs at restaurants in France and Japan. Also, I'm pretty sure it's illegal to ask a disabled person in the US to verify their service dog's status with paperwork. So I guess the fakers will leave, and then if this is really happening (restaurants asking all the time) then there will be a lawsuit. Come to think of it, I'm doubting the veracity of this "someone asks for verification" statement. Service industry staff are generally trained to avoid potential lawsuits. Now if it's an ESA vs fake ESA, that's a different story. But Service Dogs are allowed everywhere and violating the ADA is a no-no.
Pappas quality went downhill the last 2 times I went. I can cook a better steak then Eddie V and refuse to go there. Vics and Killens is still my top choices.
The Eddie V (in Austin at least) is a great spot for happy hour (especially with a date) - 1/2 price oysters and some other appetizer type stuff.
Did Bob's Steak & Chophouse this evening in the Woodlands. Steak was quite good, and came with a potato. Split with my date for $39. Good value. Bad value was the $24 shrimp appetizer and the ridiculous $16 per glass of "house" pinot. I would have complained, but it was a first date. Dogs were leashed outside by the valet.
Did you really take a broad on a first date to a place called “Bob’s steak & chophouse”? How did you split the potato? 50/50? 70/30? 60/40? Bob charged you $16 for a glass of his house Pinot? Sounds audacious AF. Was she hot? Will/did you smash?
Very, very good. Had filet medium rare and lobster. Lobster was some of the best I've had in Houston, filet was up there as well. Service was good, I don't drink so can't say anything about the bar. Only thing I didn't care for was the lobster mac, it didn't have the creamy texture I was wanting, not terrible though. Overall I'd say 9/10, going to check out Capital Grille and Steak 48 here soon but the bar is definitely raised after Ruth's, it was a great meal.
You did not answer the other questions, sir. Anyways, I haven't been to B&B Butchers. But there's a butcher near my condo in LV, he sells the same Kobe and Wagyu cuts there, as he does to the strip. $15.99 there, $89.99-$199.99 depending on where you go on the strip lol. I'll be in Houston for the rodeo cook-off, doubt I go to a steak house. Maybe a bank will take me, the one I think that will per usual only does Del Frisco's. Not a huge fan of theirs, still think KIlleen's in Pearlands is the best I've had. SIL
Well, sir, those were not questions for me to answer. I've heard great things about B&B. Been eating more game than beef lately (did cook some 99/100 grade akaushi/angus cross ribeyes last month) , strange but I guess not so for a rancher/hunter. Braised axis shanks are on the menu for later this week when the freeze and snow hits and the kitchen will be a great place to hang.
