Right, so your theory proved wrong, yet you stick with it.

Well, I guess whatever it takes for you to sleep at night. ;)

So we won in the first round in the early 80s when it was a 3 game series?

And we won with a team where the center dominates the low post

How is that even remotely related to this team?

Because he was referencing years where the rockets greatly exceeded expectations, right? Because in 1994 we were the 2 seed and favored to win every series we played in. He's suggesting some of that magic from teams not expected to win might be there....we'll see.

Yeah but how many years did it take for the Sox to beat the Yankees? And how many years before the Warriors finally won a regular season game in San Antonio? Even though the Cubs are one of the favorites I would bet against them until proven wrong. It has nothing to do with losing sleep.

Yeah and they won. I'm saying other than 2013 and 2007, when did we not live up to our seeding or over perform?

Simple statement that the rockets franchise has played better in the playoffs than the regular season. 94 they won it all and were the 2nd best regular season team. The Spurs franchise although sussessful in the playoffs is like the greatest regular season franchise in the last 35 years. Maybe the Utah Jazz would have been a better franchise comparison, but since they collapsed at the end of this regular season I didn't use them as an example.

So you think JBB will suddenly become a good coach in these playoffs?

I don't get the hate in this thread at all. I followed you completely, and it contributed to my playoff mood. My Rockets history doesn't go as far back to the 80's, but '95 was my favorite Rockets year - we were underdogs in every freakin' series!!!! Such great times! When sports teams disappoint me, I think back to '95 and remember that most sports fan don't ever experience such a clutch run!!!!
