    Suns-Grizzlies

This series is a bit of an enigma to me. Phx will probably win but Memphis can keep it interesting. Game 1 is fast-paced so far.

Yeah, it's not surprising. They both kinda have the same style of play. The main difference between the two is the Suns do it a lot better since they have Nash and Stoudemire, while the Grizz don't really have any big name guys.

    Go Grizz!

They would be a better matchup in the 2nd round for a certain team.

I hope this goes to 7 and they beat each other up real good, not exactly hoping for injuries but if that happens....:D

Grizz need to pound on Nash. He is the engine that makes that locomotive go. He has a history of breaking down. Pound on him, pound on him. No layups.

Marion goes down hard after a foul by Battier, gripping his wrist. Can't be good for the Suns.

Calling it a flagrant foul, which I think is crap. It wasn't even a hard foul.

Yes, I agee. I have no doubt about that. The Suns just won't be able to compete with a defensive oriented, half court team who has a slower style of play.

Part of me wants the Suns to lose the first round series to Grizzlies to bring the likes of Amare, Q-Richardson, and Mike D'Antoni back to earth after all the trash they have spewed out this season. But the other part wants the Suns to advance to the second round...just so that the Rockets get a chance to humiliate them. The satisfaction of kicking Suns out of the playoffs will be much more than getting rid of Mavericks. :D

I just hope the Griz extend the series as close to the full 7 as possible. Keep running with the Suns, tire them out as much as possible.

I'm just underwhelmed by the Suns. If they could play something hinting of defense, Memphis would be stamped. They don't have a playoff gear, and when they face basically any team other than Memphis, it's gonna show. I've never seen a 60 win team that was this beatable.

I think either Dallas or Houston will romp them in round 2, and it won't go to 7 games.

Edit: that blown 2 on 1 was just sad. The Phoenix defender freaking conceded the basket and he blew it!!

Man, the Grizzlies just missed a layup, and then then Suns just passed it far down court for an amazing alley-oop. That was some dunk by Amare, worth posting about. He just went up and one-handed it over a guy. Damn it, I dislike him, but that was NICE.

Anybody notice that A. Stoudemire only got 9 points (3-9),10 boards, and 5 fouls, in 30 minutes? I did not see anybody bashing him, no fans, no TNT big stink mouth....

That's probably because his team won, and pretty handily.
