except for radmanovic, who is doing anything that isn't just on an assist from kobe? and are the spurs not allowed to be called for a foul on a laker drive?
The lakers are gonna REALLY miss Bynum in this series. They're interior defense is gonna suffer big time.
if tony parker keeps making all of his 20 footers, udoka and bowen make tough pump fake dribble shoot jumpers, and ginobili and the role players make all their 3's, the spurs aren't losing to anyone. they've never shot this well from the outside in their run. and damn ginobili traveled on that drive, even for the nba that was traveling.
LOL at the Tim Duncan and Pau Gasol matchup. Tim Duncan eyes are lit up going against Gasol. He goes from looking washed up in the Hornets series to looking like the MVP candidate of old against Gasol.
You're not only on half of that....I believe the Spurs have played the toughest teams they will play until they come up against Boston or the Pistons. The Suns were much more heavily stacked than Lakers with Nash, Amare, Shaq, Bell, Barbosa, Diaw, and Hill. While Hornets fast paced style and up down the court style is trouble for Spurs, but they eventually beat them. I feel SA is getting a lighter team against the Lakers, because essentially if they can limit Kobe's opportunities and defend the paint....I can't see the Lakers taking this series past 6. They need someone to slow down Tim Duncan.
kobe attacks, makes it an interesting series... but... gasol is getting killed by duncan. ronny freakin turiaf is doing a better job at defending duncan.
the lakers are playing some amazingly uninspired and inattentive defense (and in a conference finals) and kobe is really playing lazy D, and he's doing nothing on offense (2 long jumpers to start the half after the easy drive at the end of the 1st half?). lakers have just given up homecourt without a fight. edit: and the refs refuse to call anything on tim duncan.
his outside jumper has pretty much sucked the whole playoffs. he's lived off post-ups and free throws, which he isn't doing and will have a tough time doing against bowen and the spurs. expect kobe to struggle offensively and if the lakers turn the ball over every time down the court like they are now, they will lose badly.
This another thing about this series, the Lakers are actually playing a team that has some sort of defense....Denver was about the worst in the league, Utah was slightly below average...the Spurs are about the best outside of Boston and Detroit. They are going to have to win from the outside or get Duncan into foul trouble.
Even if the Spurs find a way to lose, they are not going to have tough time covering the spread they are a 7 1/2 point underdog. Damn should have put some money on it.
manu is tired playing one freakin' game of 42 mins. how you gonna use that as an excuse for a guy typically playing 30 mpg.
