There is no "probably" about it. Without the Gasol trade, they would have sunk to 8th/9th in the West and a 1st round exit at best. My emotions about the Lakers vary from day-to-day based on how mad I am about that giveaway.
I don't really care who will win but I hope it will be a really tough series. Lakers offense vs Spurs defense.Kobe vs Duncan. If TD doesn't do well,they won't win IMO.
If the Lakers continue to play like they have been so far then they will lose. They score great but they allow guards to get inside the lane and they have been getting killed on the boards. That's not gonna work against Parker and Duncan. I fully expect Duncan to show how much of a pansy Gasol is this series. And Barkley just said this LA team is better than the team with Shaq...is he on crack?
I don't like rooting for the Lakers b/c of their arrogant and ignorant fans. If the Lakers win they will get more annoying and arrogant. So go spurs.

rooting for the spurs. my 2nd favorite team (for now). lakers will have problems defensively. gonna be interesting to see how fisher matches up with parker, gasol against dincan (jackson, like all old schools, doesn't like to double team very much). lakers are not a great defensive team. their hope is to outscore the spurs and reach 100+ every time. kobe's efficiency is going to be the key. i say spurs in 6.

Does anyone else think the NBA needs to ask Pau Gasol to shave or atleast shampoo? The messy hair with the scrawgly beard is hardly suitable for national television, let alone HD.
