If you read the Mavs forum, you will see their fans pretty much have eyes set on the Heat at this point. Those arrogant fans are the reason I will root for the Thunders. I do think the Thunders will cause Mavs a lot of troubles in this series. While Ibaka is probably the perfect guy to check Dirk, nobody in Mavs uniform could check Durant. Westbrook and Harden have speed and size advantage over the entire Mavs backcourt. Unlike in the Lakers series, Terry, Brea will need to defend their azz off against those two young guns and won't have nearly easy time scoring. The thing going for the Mavs is their experience being there, and the Thunders are young and inconsistent. Thunders in 6 or 7.

OKC in 5 vs. MIA in the finals if they met. Only because they can't possibly lose back to back home games in the finals, right? But Thunder in 5.

Many of you know OKC is my 2nd favorite team after the Rockets, so maybe I'll get some slack.

My #1 goal for these playoffs was for the Lakers to lose. #2 was for the Mavs to go down.

The Lakers are why I wanted the Heat to continue winning in the East. With the Lakers are out, my #2 goal would normally move to #1. But the Mavs gained some major points with me for totally rubbing the Lakers nose in the ground. I also think they have a better chance to knock the Heat off in the Finals.

Bottom line: I won't be heartbroken if the Mavs win this series. I don't dislike them as much because of the Lakers series and they will be harder for the Heat to beat than OKC.

Flame away. Normally, I'm as anti-Mavs as one can get. I still despise Mark Cuban. But for this one and only time ever in the postseason, I'm OK with the Mavs winning.

If the Bulls somehow beat the Heat (which I think is doubtful), then I will instantly return to rabid, anti-Mavs form because OKC vs. Chicago has been my pipe-dream (non-Rockets) Finals since the start of the season.

I am rooting for OKC. But if they lose, I wouldn't be too upset. They are young and still have a lot of chances in the future. The Mavs are old and their window is closing. Besides, I think the Mavs have a better chance than the Thunder of beating Miami.

edit: What A_3PO said. We think alike. :)

you guys really think dallas can beat okc in 5 games ????

i think some of are still underestimating how good okc really is. they are very good on both sides of the ball since the trade, and have legit star power. okc has two, dallas only has one. im not saying the thunder will win, but some of you are really selling them short.

ive said it before and ill say it again, i LOVE james harden's game. so underrated, as are collison and maynor.

Rick Carlisle is a damn good coach. The best in x's and o's. Although I am a Thunder fan, I'd say Mavricks in 6.

so what ? the thunder are much more difficult matchup because of their speed. the lakers were slow at every single position. you guys are on drugs if you think the mavs can beat them in 5 games.

sweeping the lakers has no bearing on what they will do against the thunder. this is a completely different matchup.

The Thieves will get a win at home, but the Mavs will take one in OKC and the three in Dallas for a 4-1 win.
