What's your point? Adams fouled Green on the play as well, which is why Green shot 2 FT's before Adams did.

Just because a guy commits a shooting foul doesn't mean you get to kick him in the nads. The penalty for one is two free throws. The penalty for the other should be a suspension.

this play is no different than when players like Westbrook kicks their legs into players after they shoot or when players swing their arms and elbows which causes unnecessary contact. The slow motion replay makes it looks worse than it is.

Great post. It's hard to believe (not that I don't believe it) that a coach would be able to fix a team this radically this quickly (i.e. 2016 playoffs). Westbrook has always been the heart and soul of OKC, so as far as effort (boneheaded plays withstanding) is concerned, he competes every time he is on the floor from what I've seen.

KD and Westbrook have played together for quite some time now, so the chemistry has been established. I think you nailed it in regards to their bigs. They have been the biggest difference makers.

I watched a lot of game 2 and even though Curry went god mode in the 3rd en route to a blow out victory, I just have a feeling that OKC not only punched GS in the mouth in game 1, but they have taken that momentum in stride. The way game 3 panned out was about the best thing that could happen for OKC. They had to continue that dominance and they did it in tremendous fashion.

Now I am in the camp that game 4 is a MUST win for OKC. Yes it's GS obviously needs to win it, but OKC in my opinion must win game 4 and secure homecourt. I will go on record to say that IF OKC can dominate and win game 4, I don't believe even the "mighty" Warriors can/will come back and win it in 7.

Why not? If OKC ends up going up 3-1 after tomorrow night, that would mean that they have dominated the Warriors the majority of this series and that it was no fluke.....they know how to play GS and match up well against them. So far after the first 3 games, the simple eye test suggests that OKC is a legitimate problem for GS. But KD and Westbrook have to keep that fire going and stay hungry.

I was responding to the other poster's comment thinking he was taking about Draymond fouling Westbrook being the difference between the two plays.

i'm usually all for letting them play and keeping foul calls & suspensions to a minimum. but anyone who's played this game knows how easily it is to hurt someone if the hit is above the neck or at the groin. so whether green keeps doing this intentionally or it's just a case of him not being able to control his leg, imo the league has to take action either way

That Steph Curry coat-tail Draymond is riding is getting shorter by the loss. Lol. 1 for 9 in a damn near must-win game and people are calling this dude an MVP candidate worthy of All-NBA status. What a joke. Steph makes him look so much better than he really is on the offensive end. Guaranteed he will never average more assists in his career on any other team.

My point is that there is no comparison between the two plays and Green knows it.

the fact that the league seriously doesn't take action on flailing and flops by all players puts them in this position to begin with. All the unnatural kicks and body motions to sell calls that happens all throughout the course of the year put pressure when something like this happens. Yes the league needs to take some kind of action but its something they need to do from the beginning to set the standards. Keep allowing players to do what they do as far as the extra antics, the controversy will continue when things like this happen especially in the playoffs when guys are playing to win a title.

why not, its no different to me and are pretty much the same unnecessary antics players do to sell calls

That is not a natural shooting motion by WB just like Green's wasn't. Extra flailing was added in both situations. The only difference was the connection to Adams which depending on who you talk to was intentional or not.

He's basically admitted to intentionally flailing in order to "sell" the call... and the consequences of this one was excessive contact.

Just further should make applying a suspension that much easier. There's no place in the game for flailing and trying to sell calls. They've put in fines for flopping to try and curtail it. Automatic suspensions for flagrant fouls as the result of flailing should further add to deter this sort of behavior.

they do not have penalties for flailing a flopping nearly enough. In fact it seems as if this year they threw it out the window all together compared to when they first announced there would be penalties years ago

adams hasn't been the only one to be hit in the midsection by accident in the playoffs.
