I think it was a lazy swipe at the ball. Anderson double pumped so Durant smacked him on the head. May be wrong but that's the way it looked to me.

that's how i read it. anderson looks like he's about to shoot and seemingly unexpectedly decides to pass and so durant whiffs and hits him in the head. durant may have had a little frustration added onto it, but i don't think he thought he was going to nail him in the head, just foul him hard.

i mean you have to call the flagrant but a suspension would seemingly require it to be intentional.

also, durant missed 3 straight free throws, literally a 1 in 1000 event. didn't get to his 20.

 

maybe dallas just doesn't have any rebounders but he is just beasting on the offensive boards. although okc was the best rebounding team in the league by a WIDE margin (best in 40 years) so maybe the opponent being dallas doesn't matter.

 

Kanter destroyed the mavs tonight. Guess they don't feel bad about paying him 70 M. OKC closes out the mavs next game and could be parsons last game on the mavs bench

 

That's a flagrant 2? Geez, then Green's tackle and Bogut's arm bar are flagrant 4s.

 

Durant and Westbrook are both major hotheads. Durant at least tries to disguise it.

I will forever dislike Mark Cuban's Mavs, but the Thunder have always had a certain passive-aggressiveness about them.

It's contact above the shoulders, so it deserves a look. It wasn't excessive, and it's arguable he made a play on the ball. A flagrant 1 for sure, but not a flagrant 2.

Consider Green's suplex and Bogut's arm bar. Both are excessive, both are not basketball plays. Those were flagrant 2s meaning automatic ejection with Bogut's worthy of an extra suspension. But the league is never consistent or fair.

 

That was not intentional and should've been flagrant 1.

 

When kd first came to the league he was such a good humble guy. But the last few seasons he has been acting like a fake tough guy and arrogant type of prick. Westbrook influence,maybe

btw, it will be interesting to see what he gets this summer. Dude definitely has a place in the league; perhaps even as a starter. But of course, his age is factor
