No they are bad...very bad. Brooks has been a nice surprise find for them, but outside of him and D-will (and possibly Humphris), they are very bad.
i bet if steve nash was running the show the nets would have a better record, and nash is old and not considered top 5 anymore
If you're talking statistically (you know like efficiency?), you might want to consider that being the worst defensive team in 20 years might be partly responsible for their record.... Point guards can't really effect defensive efficiency that much, centers however can (see Dwight and supporting cast)
i was responding to a posters comment that none of his teammates can make a wide open shot. still no excuse for them to be that bad IMO. if the suns are only 5 games under .500 in a tougher conference with comparable talent, and just as bad defensively, i dont see why the nets are so bad.
Marcin Gortat is a monster on the defensive side of the ball. He's also putting up 15 and 7 with great efficiency. He and Nash are the only reason why that team isn't bottom dwelling.
Gortat is why that team isn't cellar dwelling. the Nets really are that bad, but Williams keeps their offensive efficiency respectable (it's where the point guard matters most unless you're like the lakers or heat who have bona fide superstars running the offense from a different spot).
no, nash is the reason... and williams should be the reason but i guess hes not as good as you all think
That's a complete falsehood and with very faulty logic. Nash AND Gortat are playing very well this season and their supporting cast is still much better than new jersey's outside of D-will.
He was traded to New Jersey. His struggles has more to do with playing with New Jersey than it does him not playing for Jerry Sloan
Game 1 Thunder-Spurs Westbrook 7-21 Durant 8-19 Harden 7-17 Game 2 Thunder-Spurs Westbrook 10-24 Durant 10-17 James Harden 10-13
from 2007 WCF Spurs-Jazz (Spurs won in 5) Williams 25.8ppg 7.8apg 2.4spg 3.6rpg 3.2to 52.7%fg D-Will had noone even near Durant nor Harden's level.
In terms of importance to the team, yes Boozer is ahead of Harden. In terms of talent though, Boozer is not in Harden's league at their respective positions.
This is an easy and simple idea and we've been through it many times with Kobe as well. 1. You have more efficient scorer on team, Durant (as with case of Bynum/Gasol as well). Do you know how to get them integrated? That's part of your role as a great player. 2. Yes, you're a great offensive player. Do realize you could produce at an even higher efficiency if you chose shots more wisely? 3. Some shots you take show no understanding of pacing, waiting for rebounders and team psychology. We just watched the Spurs execute like no team has in a long time, with Parker/Manu/Duncan showing how real stars get their team in the game. Why do people still defend Westbrick and Kobe?? smh. If you want playground offense and basketball understanding, go watch And1
Is Westbrick back? He hasn't faced a PG even close to Parker's level in the playoffs this year so far, and it is showing how he has struggled. He can dominate the average PG, but can't compete with the elite few in the league on a consistent basis.
Westbrick is terrible, how can you take 24 shots 7 more than durant 11 more than harden when harden was shooting a sick percentage. Keep it classy westbrick with ur smug look. I would like it if he tries to holster his pistols again this series.
