"[Harden] is absolutely correct. We're role players, and our job is to accept our roles." Even as a rookie last year, he had a mature approach to the game. After he hit that 3 in his 1st playoff game, he just said, "It's my job to shoot 3s; that's what I'm being paid to do." Really hope he builds on his game from last year. He looks like he's been working out. And learning how to play different guard positions--ball-handling and setting teammates up.
really like what he said, a humble person and great kid (totally opposite of the one we traded to 76er :grin wish him a bright future!
Love how he didn't say anything about missing Parsons game wise. Just that he was a good guy and that's it...... I was expecting something like " we are gonna miss his hustle and three point shooting".... But nope.... Daniels is clearly the third star on The Rockets..... That's his role....
I like this kid. I remember early in the season he played like 5 minutes and came in firing up 3's. One play he passed up a open teammate and shot it up anyway lol. This resulted in Mchale sending him back to the d-league. Mchale's a idiot
way to go, dumas. for Troy Daniels, this was one of the highlights of his LIFE. how can you not appreciate this man's accomplishments, come here and jinx him? it's like you going up to a woman who just had a baby, and telling the mother that the baby might turn out to be a bum. who does that s***? and for the record, Casspi was the only one who was hot in the preseason and cold in the regular season. Garcia and Daniels both have drained 3s at a high level in the post-season.
What seems to be understated abt Troy Daniels is his defense. He's coming from VCU's HAVOC defense and it showed when he was one of the only players on the court NOT getting beat off the dribble.
I don't think he'll ever have those handles. I just see him as a spot up shooter, though I have no reason to believe he can't develop a solid game running off screens. Maybe a smaller Kevin Martin at best?
