i was sitting there last night and watched hilton armstrong fumble a oh so simple pass from taylor out of bounds and I got to thinking is the jerseys ending in #3 havent been that good to the rockets lately

think about it since the last championship

    #3
randy livingston - call up that did ok
eldridge recasner - outside of a cool name really nothing
michael dickerson - out from career ending injury
steve francis - most promising out of the bunch but traded then never got back on track at all...fastest fall from all-star level? maybe
bob sura - great for 1/2 season then career ending injury
tracy mcgrady - uhm dont need to go into his stint wearing #3
hilton armstrong -- its amazing he has last even this long in the nba

    #13
kelvin cato - wasnt that bad of a center but grossly over paid and motivation always was question. guy fell off the face off the earth after the rockets and in some ways fell off when he was with the rockets
David Andersen - yeah this guy sucks even with his injury he had moments but as soon as adelman got some other big guys DA was yanked out of the rotation..one of Morey's small "black spots" in an other stellar time as GM
von wafer - had a decent season but the knucklehead feuded with the coach and ultimately bounced out of the league again and is no where to be found now after asking to be let go from his euro team for lack of playing time
Mike James -- second time around wore #13 hardly came off the bench and sucked and sulked. couldnt even get any PT on the wizards for gods sake..EDIT: James wore #13 on first stint and was promptly traded though he had a career season in toronto he bounced around since then and disappeared...thanks Dave2000 for my mistake
Kirk snyder -- going to jail shortly not much else needs to be said

*Yao Ming - probably would have worn 13 if not for cato he has worn 13 otherwise but Yao has had 4 seasons out of 8 where he has been injured so he hasnt been totally unaffected from the #3 curse

    #23
    Thank God for Calvin Murphy

    #33
Scottie Pippen - need I say more?
Eddie Griffin - cost us 3 1st round draft picks -- RIP Eddie
Charles Oakley - badass but too old and left calling management and coaches soft probably a mistake on JVG even signing him to a couple 10 days

    #43
Brian Cook - this one guy alone could be the reason for the curse
Kevin Willis - 2nd go around - a shell of the guy he was just around collecting a paycheck and all he had going for him was his jump hook though at 40 not too bad but man did he look terrible out there, he was fishing for a paycheck and CD gave him one

so there is my pointless useless ramble these are the type of meaningful life altering things that pop into my mind when I get bored

    discuss

actually James was 13 his first tour with the 04-05 Rockets when he was good, the second tour he was #7, which you can probably still buy at the Rockets Shop, 2 years after he's been traded

Livingston was actually a draft pick, and if I remember correctly, he's like a NBDL Legend and just retired recently

he did say after the 2 championship

since the last championship OT wasnt on that team that won it all though he started the season on it

hence my qualifier of "since last championship"

Curse for us but Mike got some coin off his time in Toronto, before giving up on trying to actually play.

Bad luck (really bad karma) for the Rockets -- we traded him.

    What about numbers in multiples of 3? Like 6, 9, 12, 15?

What about numbers you get after you subtract 3 from it? 4-3 = 1 OMG TMAC

What about numbers you get after you add 3 to it? 30 + 3 = omg its a multiple of 3 and it ends in 3 and its after you add 3. Scottie Pippen! OMG

There's only one solution, retire all jerseys ending in 3. Don't care how bad the players were, the curse will be gone if no one wears the number

Wow I would hate to see Steve Francis, Kelvin Cato, Eddie Griffin and Brian Cook going up into the rafters.
