Webber injured his ankle, and is expected to be out for four games. Kinda sucks for him obviously, but what really stinks is they host Denver tomorrow. Hopefully, the Nuggets will still lose. Sorry Nugzfan, et al, but I gotta support my team, and yours is in the way. Predictions for the Nuggets' game in Sacramento without Webber? ------------------ [This message has been edited by Relativist (edited February 15, 2001).] [This message has been edited by Relativist (edited February 15, 2001).]
Lawerence Funderburke isn't anywhere near a capable replacement for Webber. No one can match up with Dice on that team, The Nuggets should work the Kings. It is on the road, but the Nugs should still win. ------------------ The Rockets will be the NBA champions. Believe. [This message has been edited by Puedlfor (edited February 15, 2001).]
Not that I would want anyone to be hurt, but it would be good for the Rockets if Webber stays out because (hopefully) they will continue to lose. If they lose a lot and consequently do poorly in the playoffs, there should be a better chance that Sac will be eliminated from Webber's list. And to totally get my hopes up, if the Rockets make the playoffs, he will want to come here!!! wahoo!! ------------------ Be nice to the newbie!
Well, Nuggets still lost Friday. With Seattle's loss tonight to Atlanta and the Rockets' win tonight over Cleveland, the Rockets are now only 1/2 game behind Seattle and 1 game behind Denver. Denver hosts Washington tomorrow, and then plays an away game against the Blazers before playing the Sonics the next night in Seattle. The Rockets host Boston on Tuesday, before going to Minnesota the following night. If the Rockets beat Boston and break their curse against Minnesota, they might be able to pull into 10th seed, at the expense of either Seattle or Denver. ------------------
