Yes! Yes! Yes! We want Steve! We want Steve! and we will contiune to chant until We See Steve! Don't hide him from us, give the man at least 5 minutes. Bring on Dallas and San Antonio! Go Rockets!! It's Time!!!
No one is going to sell me on the fact that Steve is worst for this team than Luther Head. I have been watching ball for a long time, and I know a crappy PG when I see one. Rafer Alston is a micrososm away from Matt Maloney territory. Same problems as Matt. Cant play the PnR, cant defend a lick, and is left wide open causing the better players to have to work harder on the Offensive side, and NOT making their player have to play any D.
Honestly.. your arguments are getting pretty wild now. Steve will play if he earns a spot in the rotation, that's all there is to it. Again, he showed up out of shape and expecting to play. We are a championship caliber team - you don't show up before the season out of shape and unable to run an offense and just get minutes. When he earns a spot in the rotation, he'll get into a game.
I guess we were a championship quality team that was beat in the first round by the lower seed, in our house last year too. We were a championship quality team that went something like 5-12 against the top 4 other teams last year, with the same starting lineup. That same starting lineup wouldnt of beat the Mavs, Suns, Spurs, Jazz, and might not of got by the Nuggs, or even the Warriors in the playoffs. Keep trying to sell it.
We aren't the same team as we were last year. New bench, new coach. And did you read anything else I typed? Steve will play when he EARNS a spot in the rotation. If Rafer is as terrible as you imply, what does it say about Francis' current playing ability if he couldn't even win a rotation spot from him?

I bet it was not that foolish last night when Rockets Played Dallas and lost because they did not play enough scorers, whatever we think about Steve one think is for sure out of shape or not, Steve is not the same Steve who played for Houston or not, he is too old or not. a close game like this you need but a player who can give you few points Steve can still score.
