this is great for 2k but in real life who's gonna guard the opposing starting sf? someone off the benc who only gets 10-15minutes a game?
You need crazy to win championships. Vernon did it for us. McHale is the kind of coach for Lance stephenson. McHale played in that era of crazy basketball. This team is too nice. Needs grit. More P-Bev types.
even if wekeep parsons and he agrees to play defense again, lance would never get the minutes he deserves. parsons would have to get the majority of mintues at sf since he has the height to defend his position.
Can keep both. Both of them are extremely young will have tremendous trade value across the league and can be traded later if we decide to.
One critical piece is cutting Harden's minutes so he has energy to play D and be reasonably fresh for playoffs. I'd be OK with this signing as three guys split two positions.
well the money is kinda like vouchers from walmart. either you spend it or you get nothing else out of it. lance stephenson is better than kyle lowry and luol deng, and will command about the same salary. Remember this guy is a nightly threat for a triple-double, and we need some of that artest and rasheed craziness to win championships!!!
yes getting harden some rest is an underrated aspect I hadn't thought of. Yes having Harden/Parsons/Stephenson split the wing positions would be the best wing rotation in the league by far. And also, we can have Parsons play PF in small-ball lineups which Morey loves to run. This deal has all the upside and zero downside, especially given what has transpired in the league so far this offseason. This guy is an all-star if not for his character flaws remember guys!!!!!
He's not just emotional or passionate or whatever you want to call it, he's a complete r****d. I legitimately believe he's the dumbest player in the NBA. DO NOT WANT
Yeah I don't see Lance and Harden meshing very well. Not only do they play the same position, the personalities are so different. I want Harden to be a Rocket for life, not get ticked off at Lance and leave.
Indy offered him ~8 mil. If he was offered a 3 yr/36 mil offer, I think he'd consider it. He's better than Parsons anyways.
You can make the same argument for Artest as well. We took a chance on his crazy ass and it paid off. No we didn't win a championship that year, but he gave us that edge we needed...
