portland has a crapload of 2nd round picks...we need to get one of them for some cash or a 2nd rounder. Prospects to target in the 2nd round: PF Herbert Hill- He's a pretty athletic bigman who can block shots and has a decent offensive game. PF Sean Williams- I wouldn't mind taking him in the 2nd round, but for us to take a chance on him with our 1st pick is rediculous. SF Demetrius Nichols- Sharp shooter who can come off the bench. I think he's what we wish Novak would be. Can play adequate defense. PG Ramon Sessions- A very good floor general who can distribute the ball. Won't look to score much, but would be a very very good backup. SF/PF Dominic McGuire- Would create some mismatches and can match up against other tweeners. Crashes the boards and can block shots. PG Gabe Pruitt- I really don't see much difference between him and VSpan, but with VSpan looking to return to Greece, why not replace him? I actually would rather have Sessions or any of the other players listed, but everyone here seems to like him.
Yep. We do need a high 2nd rounder. I especially like Pruitt, Sessions, Hill and Nichols from your list. But I think Pruitt will be a first rounder. I just hope we get Almond with our pick. Then try and get a 2nd rounder. If we could get both Almond and Pruitt I would consider this draft a total success.
If we could get a high 2nd rounder by giving the rights to Eliyahu and a future 2nd round pick it would really nice in addition to the 26th pick.
completely forgot about Eliyahu. I would support that move. Though with the Rockets luck, he'll enter the league in a year or two, win rookie of the year and become a starter on a playoff team.
I'd like to see the Rockets dump VSpan for a 2d round draft pick. For that matter, Rox have too much dead weight on the roster, I actually wouldn't mind seeing a clearing of most of the bench to get more picks, younger atheletes that will be able to execute an Adelman offense. If that means letting go VSpan, JHo, JL3, Deke, Tsakalidis, Bonzi, Sura, Novak, Snyder, and Rafer then so be it. It couldn't get any worse than that collective group.
We won't let Alston go until we have an alternative option at point & I don't mean TMac. Alston needs to be a backup; but at present, he's our starter because we don't have a backup.
