We have seen some refreshingly good performances by young players in these playoffs in Eastern Conference. The likes of the Raptors, Bucks, Celtics and 76ers have much to thank their youngsters for their advantageous position in their playoff series.
These are quality Rookie Contracts that don't cost 2 million a year.
    Raptors: Pascal Siakam, OG Anunoby
    Bucks:
    Brogdon, Connaughton
Every team has quality rookie contracts. Celtics/Lakers have tons of quality Rookie Contracts that are in the current trade market. Shall we trade Capela & draft picks for quality Rookie Contracts?

    Do it, DM.
    Go Rockets!

DM Will do whatever it takes when the time is right. The Rockets have been in contention ever since he’s been at the helm, and I don’t see us going in another direction but upward.

    Go Rockets!

So your idea is to get some good players? Preferably if they are young and not too expensive?

This is a good plan! Someone should let Morey know to do this with all of the draft picks and cap flexibility we have!

Rockets trade their picks for scrubby veterans or to get under the LT.

And Daryl is a subpar drafter. ("but but but he never has high first round picks!" Not about having high first round picks or rebuilding. Spurs, Warriors, to a lesser degree Raptors, maybe some others I'm missing, have made a living drafting in the bottom half of the first, finding contributors.)

"but but but the Rockets are always in win-now mode!"

Wont matter.. As soon as he misses a defensive assignment in the playoffs, we'll never see him again until Summer League..

I was right there with you until you said trade Capela ….

You don't want to be the guy trading for those players , You wanna be the guy who drafted them ….. and it hard to do that when you don't patriciate in the draft.
