Sadly, brewer has been better than Asik.

Not likely he makes it past the trade deadline...either he will be cut or they will give a future draft pick to motivate someone to take him. He can guard DeAndre Jordan unlike our existing centers and would be a nice pickup for Bobby Brown's spot (without costing us a thing).

Yes he would cost us something. The ability to add any player (except MLE) next Summer. The guy is making almost 12 mil per year until 2020. I want nothing to do with that contract. You can find a guy that does what he does at much better value & cost. They also have Ajinca to move at 5 mil per year for only two more seasons... that would be a more likely target in this scenario where this big you are bringing in is only there for the random games where teams actually play true bigs.

    We need Dwight Howard.

    We need DMo.

Do not want Omer "stonehands" Asik

Don't you remember all the dropped/missed passes in the paint due to his fumble hands?

Sadly, we have bigger hole at backup C than backup SG. I can see situations where we can use Asik, but I don't see situations where we need Brewer at all.

I'm not wild about Asik's contract... but if they want to let us purge Brewer's contract from our roster... take whatever scraps we want to include... and toss us back a 1st rd pick.... I'd consider that deal...

I don't know how hard he was, but that's as fast as I ever saw him move.

I actually looked at this too as soon as the Boogie trade was announced, but said no when I realized his contract situation. His contract would hurt more than he would help.
