don't want to be a downer but it's only the first game. it's great that he's playing like a superstar but can he keep on playing the same pace? after 10 games, we should know. right now, enjoy while it lasts
First off, let me just say that I am ecstatic with Harden's debut. I don't think anyone could have expected this and I just wish I could have watched it. But, with that all of this said, Detroit does have one of the bottom five back courts in the NBA in my opinion. So, we have to temper it a bit. With all of this said, I do think Harden can be a 23-25 point scorer for Houston this year, but a small part of his success was the Pistons.
More than any thing I like I liked his effort on defense. He got his hands on a lot of balls and ended up with 4 steals. He defense was the only question I had regarding him and he answered it nicely.
Only one game, but one helluva game. I know it's against Detroit, but still excited. We aren't coming home with the NBA title this year, but it feels great to hopefully have a direction....UP! And this was without TJones, DMo, and a few of the others. Maybe...just maybe....Morey...McHale...and the rest.....know more about basketball than the average fan. OR...maybe it was just a good game against the Pistons. Either way.....on to game 2..with a smile.
Harden is the best Sg in the league. He's 23 with finals and olympic experience and far from his prime years. He's still developing his game . While Wade and Kobe are in there last years and there games are declining.
