Taking him for granted? No, he is an all time great.

I just want him to play a little more Defense.

Hakeem is great and all but I wish he would have just hit his free throws at a higher clip. Maybe worked on his outside game a little more too.

A lot of the board certainly takes him for granted, hopefully it's not like that at games/other fans that don't post. But this dude is amazing, he's the greatest chance since Hakeem at getting the Rockets a chip.

Well Yao had a shot but damn injuries, so that's why I'm going with Harden as the closest, I mean he's won way more playoff series... Of course we can forget that bullshit Dallas series, crooked NBA. On a side note, you know damn well Hakeem wasn't supposed to beat the nyk team (at least going with the media), so I'm glad he was too dominant to be stopped.

Yeah, I guess I meant the more vocal/lunatic members on here in my post (not realizing how good Harden is).

I watched Hakeem play both ends......my expectations for being called a SUPERSTAR and ALL TIME GREAT - are higher than some....who settle I guess.

The difference between Hakeem and Harden on defense is about the same as Harden and Hakeem on offense.

    Appreciate what you have.

i appreciate your openes to critic of harden but lol the game is only one... all divisions into defense and offense are artificial...oftentimes useful but not always...its a 2d black and white view...its only a model of the game not the game itself

You were probably in the TRADE HAKEEM FOR SYKALY crowd
cause you thought HAKEEM was jaking an injury

I do think he's being taken for granted, but not because we cannot appreciate his game. Rather it's the era of the Warriors and "Championships Mean Everything" culture that make his accomplishments irrelevant unless he's leading a team to a title.

Which I disagree with, however it seems like past eras, say with the Bulls, an all-time great could be appreciated as an all-time great without whatabouting his legacy.

I'm not criticizing Harden. I'm criticizing the refs. We should be able to rely on them to call the game fairly and they don't. They have too much influence on the game.

I KNOW he was faking an injury, but was not in the trade him camp.

or blame the fact that our team is not LA or NY or doesn't have multiple stars which is a must in todays nba to win a chip

Game 6 (the second half ) and game 7 of the WCF were as bad as the infamous Lakers v king game where the refs were clearly instructed to make sure the lakers get as much as advantage possible.

He owes you nothing either yet you still defend him.

His game is good enough to defend itself and himself.
