I don't understand the vote count. The title says, "are we taking Harden for granted?" Do an overwhelming number of members here take Harden "for granted?" Really? I haven't taken him for granted since we acquired him from OKC. I seriously doubt that a huge majority here have been taking him for granted. So why the bizarre vote count? Heck, mikol, the OP, voted that he "takes harden for granted," and I know that he doesn't. The thread's title either makes no sense and has a vast majority here confused, or far more members take James for granted than I could have imagined. If the title said, "Do the public and the media's talking heads take James for granted?" the vote count would make sense. This is a very weird thread, in my humble opinion.
I mean, we’ve all watched it and know how this has all gone down. To break it down and really think about this run still blows my mind. So many cast offs or D league level guys added to the mix. None of the guys in the MVP race has had to carry their teams like this. Pretty remarkable to say the least.
Harden's prime aint over yet but whatever he does in years to come, this clip will always be with me and bring me the feels..
What kills me about this argument is that if it's so easy to do this nowadays with the new rules, the implication is that nobody else is really trying that hard. Because Harden IS doing it, and yet nobody else in the entire league is. Not Westbrook, not Giannis, not Embiid, not LeBron, not PG13, not Lilliard, not whatever other guy who's not qualified to carry James's jockstrap. NOBODY.
Lebron can only dream of being in that stratosphere. Harden has surpassed MJ and is all alone with Wilt now.
This is the closest thing we’ve seen to wilt dominance and probably from Jordan’s 84 season where now people just look over a 40 point 11 boards to go with 6 assists on 14-27 as a average night for Hardens. The standard he has now set is extraordinarily high.
