Harden destroyed the LOFs' dreams of Linsansity 2.0 resulting in the largest group of Rockets' "fans" hating him

 

Quick question: Is anyone else bothered by the fact that Harden isn’t mentioned in the “one of the best PG’s of all time” convo when Curry is? I mean... if you ask me (a biased homer but still...) Harden isn’t just a better player than Curry. He’s a better PG. I know they don’t put PG next to his name but I mean look at his usage and stats... the offense runs entirely through him. People will point to LeBron to make the case against Harden as a PG but I don’t think it’s even close to the same thing.

 

To me Harden has always been a SG who can play PG at an elite level so I don’t mind him not being on any PG lists.

He’s a scorer at heart and he’s one of the best at that skill to ever do it.

The assist and passing are just a by product of his greatness and his IQ.

Now he def needs to be in every convo for best SGs of alltime he’s top 5 already maybe higher.

 

Have to say. All this Anthony Davis talk and uncertainty, Kevin Durant uncertainty, Kyrie uncertainty, Lebron uncertainty every season when he was at Cleveland...

Harden shows up, shows out and rarely makes a peep about the FO. Just that comfort level as a fan is nice.

 

I really wish we weren’t wasting this year. I don’t think Tillman understands how rare this kind of talent is. Don’t worry about luxury tax. Go for it. What the hell is the point of owning a sports team and not try and win it all? Did he seriously buy it to be a traditional business where nickel and diming to maximize profit is the norm? I’m not advocating he get stupid and lose his a$$. But should have just cut melo so you could have kept house. Used mle on Mbah a moute (at the time we thought he was viable).

I just don’t want to see this special talent pissed away.

 

This level of talent comes around once a TRUE generation for any team not in LA.

 

At this point I'm just watching Harden, if his teammates decide to play along, go for it.

It's gonna be fascinating to see how fast the MVP voters can run away from the "Not the best team, but what he did was historic!" argument they used when they handed the award to Russ.
