not surprising, honestly. the warriors had a cake walk to the finals, Utah was young and had no chance against them, and might not have beaten the clips if blake was there.
Love watching quality basketball. The spurs are a machine. Sadly, we were practice for them to finetune their gameplan to when they play the warriors.
i see this getting talked about, but it's a myth. the rockets took and made more 3's per game against the spurs than they did in the regular season. and the pace was like 5-6% slower than our regular season pace. we took plenty of 3's. we even shot them respectably. we just tended to either shooter 33.3% and under or 44% and over so we never had a nice even game, which really only mattered for game 5, and maybe game 3 if it had given us a lead in the 3rd and 4th instead of always trailing. the biggest problem, other than quitting in game 5 and harden sucking at the end of game 5, was we couldn't really hit 2's at the basket over their length. whether mid-range shots were the solution or not, i don't know, but that was the story.
This, I was really surprised by the poll and comments here. This Spurs team can beat anybody on a good day, their teamwork is absolutely perfect on both ends.

how does leonard do it? just jumps into durant, takes an awkward shot, no call is made, then the refs just wait 2 seconds and go oh i guess it's kawhi, lets give him a call. why did harden stop getting that call? harden could have gotten 25 ft's a game if we're making that call. but of course kawhi can get any ticky tack call he wants now.

So when people watch Golden State on TV all the time winning, it factors into their judgment. This is what happened to the 90s Rockets. Dream was the MVP in 1994. How many national games did they get? People were 'surprised' he was that good when the playoffs came.
well, come on. however good the spurs are, by far the best team in the regular season being down 20 at halftime at home is surprising. especially the best offense ever struggling to score 42.
